The Challenge:
As the firm expanded, it sought to prepare director-level leaders and managers to support continued growth and respond to more complex and volatile industry realities by developing people and systems, strengthening organizational culture, and creating greater consistency in leadership practices across all lines of business.
The Leadership Development Approach:
The firm implemented a 12-month cohort-based leadership development program combining interactive training with individual and group coaching. Leaders developed greater self-awareness while learning practical tools and approaches for communication, delegation, feedback, conflict management, and team leadership.
One-on-one coaching helped participants apply the learning to real leadership challenges, address personal barriers, and strengthen their effectiveness within their roles. Group coaching allowed the cohort to address shared organizational topics together. The cohort model also created a trusted network of peers who could learn from and support one another across the organization.
The Results:
Participants developed greater confidence and a deeper understanding of their leadership styles, strengths, and barriers. Leaders improved their ability to delegate, manage conflict, give and receive feedback, and build stronger, high-performing teams.
The program also strengthened relationships and support across lines of business, contributing to a more connected and consistent leadership culture. Because of its value and impact, the program has continued for multiple years with new cohorts of leaders.
